The Lift: June Issue — Accessibility Isn’t Optional

‎ by Niftic

June 2025

👋 Hey Growth Enthusiasts!

June’s here—and we’re building smarter, more inclusive experiences.

This month, we’re digging into why accessibility isn’t optional (👋 WCAG 2.2), how smart chunking keeps your users sane, and how we helped AMSNY turn a dense digital presence into a clean, mission-driven platform.

Also on deck: pricing psychology that nudges conversions, why “vibe coding” isn’t a strategy, and what your PLG metrics should actually be tracking.

Keep it human. Keep it intentional. Keep it moving.

🔥 Top News: What We’re Watching (and Side-Eyeing)

A quick roundup of headlines we’re tracking—and our honest 🎬 on what they mean for product, growth, and the inevitable AI overlords.

Pricing Psychology in Subscriptions

Our 🎬 - People don’t just buy with wallets—they buy with brains. Anchor smart, bundle better, and don’t sleep on charm pricing. Influence beats instinct.

Vibe Coding Is Not Strategy

Our 🎬 - "We'll just figure it out as we go" is a vibe, not a plan. Ship fast, sure—but systems > chaos. Real velocity starts with structure.

PLG Metrics That Matter

Our 🎬 - Not all growth is good growth. If you’re in PLG land, track what drives value—not just logins. Activation, expansion, and retention FTW.

Convenience vs. Probability Sampling

Our 🎬 – User research shortcuts come at a cost. Fast doesn’t always mean accurate. If you want real insights, pick the right participants—not just the available ones.

🌱 What We’re Thinking About

Bringing Inclusivity Online

Your site might be gorgeous. But is it accessible?

If it’s a pain to use with a keyboard, can’t handle a screen reader, or has zero alt text—it’s time for a tune-up.

Accessibility isn’t a “nice to have.” It’s the bare minimum. Luckily, it’s not that hard to start.

Our latest blog breaks things down: WCAG basics, small fixes that make a big impact, and what’s coming down the legal pipeline.

💻 Behind The Build

AMSNY’s Digital Transformation

We partnered with Associated Medical Schools of New York (AMSNY) to reimagine their digital presence—crafting a modern visual identity, intuitive user experience, and scalable infrastructure.

The result? A clean, accessible platform that amplifies their impact and connects more meaningfully with students, funders, and policymakers alike.

🍿 Design Snack: Chunk it like it's hot 😉

Ever feel overwhelmed by a wall of text or too many choices on one screen? That’s your working memory maxing out.

🧠 Quick Tip: Use chunking—group related info into digestible pieces. Whether it’s form fields, steps in a flow, or learning content, smaller bites are easier to process, remember, and act on.

📚 Real-World Example: We recently helped a client simplify their settings page. Instead of a long, overwhelming list, we grouped related options into collapsible dropdowns. This resulted in cleaner UI, faster decision-making, and happier users.

🎶 In the Stack: Oboe

Experimentation should be fast, flexible, and built for real growth—not buried in red tape.

Enter Oboe stage right. It’s lightweight, powerful, and lets our team (and our clients) run clean experiments without slowing down.

👋 See You Next Month!

Keep growing, keep experimenting, and we'll catch you next issue. Got feedback or funny gifs? Hit reply—we read every single one.

This month, we’re looking at why brand trust now renews month-to-month, how climate tech like pHathom is quietly cleaning up real-world messes, and what it means to design AI and interfaces that don’t exhaust people before they ever get to the value. Also on deck: why your brief probably smuggles in the solution, how a sharper story can unlock serious...

‎ by Niftic February 2026 👋 Hey Growth Enthusiasts! February's here, and we're questioning the assumptions we didn't know we had. This month, we're exploring the questions to ask before you take that job, why designing for deaf users means unlearning everything you assume, and how to plan projects without faking certainty you don't have. Also on deck: social proof that builds trust without desperation, designing public services that actually serve the public, and the framing effect (because...

‎ by Niftic January 2026 👋 Hey Growth Enthusiasts! January's here, and we're building clarity out of chaos. This month, we're exploring how constraints force better solutions, why your job title matters less than the work itself, and how to design for users who are stressed, overwhelmed, or in actual emergencies. Also on deck: why you probably don't need a new logo (you need a new story), turning intimidating legal processes into approachable experiences, and the labor illusion (because...
